Nancy Gibbs is the Faculty Director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, where they also serve as a visiting Edward R. Murrow Professor. An award-winning writer and presidential historian, Gibbs was the Editor in Chief of TIME from 2013 to 2017, making history as the first woman to hold the position while overseeing significant growth in TIME's digital audience. They are a prolific author, co-authoring two best-selling presidential histories and contributing extensively to the political discourse in the U.S. Gibbs graduated summa cum laude from Yale and holds a degree from Oxford as a Marshall Scholar.
