Raphaël Bellec

Senior Architect Backend Developer at Combo

Raphaël Bellec has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Raphaël started their career in 2005 as a CTO and R&D specialist in cryptography and information security at Netheos. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as the founder and CTO at SalesClic, where they developed the SalesClic application and managed a team of developers and engineers. In 2010, they founded MeetOnExhibitions and served as the founder, CTO, and salesperson, responsible for full-stack and mobile development, recruitment, and client acquisition. Raphaël founded Structure Computation in 2010 and served as the CTO, developing Is'sim, a real-time collaborative solution for 3D simulations and engineering.

Starting in 2014, Bellec freelanced as a CTO and full-stack developer, working on projects such as JobTeaser and Swile. In 2019, they founded and served as the CTO at indust.ai, an independent applied AI R&D lab that tackled AI problems for clients in various industries. Raphaël also worked as a freelance architect and software engineer at Toptal from 2019 to the present.

In 2020, Bellec became the director at the Founder Institute, the world's largest pre-seed accelerator. Raphaël joined matrix.ai in the same year, working on a type-safe infrastructure algebra for expressing the composition of distributed services. Raphaël'smost recent position is a Senior Architect Backend Developer at Combo (ex-Snapshift), starting in March 2021.

Raphaël Bellec completed their MsC in Computer Science, Math, Realtime and distributed systems from Ecole supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Electrotechnique et Electronique in the years 1995 to 2001. Raphaël then pursued a pre-PhD Internship in Mathematics (combinatorics) at Brandeis University in the year 2001. Additionally, from 2000 to 2001, they obtained a DEA degree in Algebraic combinatorics, logic, Fundamental computer science from Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée. Later, in 2008 to 2009, they studied Ericksonian Hypnosis Master at Génération Formation.
