Jan Neumann

Jan Neumann is a seasoned professional in machine learning and applied artificial intelligence with extensive experience at Comcast, where current responsibilities as Vice President include leading the Applied AI & Discovery team. This team focuses on voice, content discovery, and media analytics for Comcast and Sky's services, as well as AI/ML initiatives for various enterprise solutions. Prior roles at Comcast include Executive Director and Senior Director in applied AI research, with a strong emphasis on deep learning for natural language understanding. Jan's earlier experience includes research scientist positions at Siemens, where contributions were made to traffic safety and surveillance, and to pedestrian detection systems. Jan holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a Vordiplom in Medical Computer Science from Universität zu Lübeck.
