John Crowley

John Crowley is Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Greater Chicago Region (GCR), which includes customers in central and northern Illinois, northwest Indiana and southwest Michigan. As Comcast’s market leader, John is responsible for the region’s full P&L and oversees its nearly 5,000 employees, whose responsibilities range from sales and marketing and technical operations to human resources, government and external relations and communications.

John has more than 30 years of experience in the cable industry. Prior to joining Comcast, he served as Charter Communication’s Southeast Region Vice President, providing strategic leadership and overseeing day-to-day operations for the company in seven states. Before that, he served as the Vice President and general manager of Charter’s Minnesota and Nebraska operations. Prior to joining Charter, he held positions with several other cable providers.

John currently serves on the board of City Year Chicago. Earlier on, he served on the boards of the Minnesota Cable Communications Association and the Rochester, MN, Area Economic Development Council Inc. John earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester in 1994 and his bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Waterville, ME, in 1982.
