John Demming

VP, Corporate & Financial Communications at Comcast

John Demming is Vice President of Corporate and Financial Communications for Comcast Corporation. He is responsible for managing Comcast’s strategic communications with the financial media on matters such as mergers and acquisitions, earnings, shareholder initiatives, television and online content agreements, corporate financings, and other transactions. He has worked on communications pertaining to several company transactions, including Comcast’s acquisition of NBCUniversal, Comcast’s SpectrumCo asset sale and MVNO agreement with Verizon Wireless, NBCUniversal’s acquisition of DreamWorks Animation, and multiple company investments. Additionally, he manages executive communications, oversees Comcast’s corporate communications and influencer activities in Philadelphia, executes events, and leads media activities on community investment and diversity initiatives. John also works closely with NBCUniversal and Comcast Spectacor on communications pertaining to their content, sports, and other businesses, and Comcast Ventures on their investments.

Prior to joining Comcast in 2007, John was with The Vanguard Group, one of the world’s largest investment management companies, serving as a company spokesperson and leading media activities pertaining to institutional investors, exchange-traded funds, the performance of the financial markets, and several retail investment products. Before that, he worked in financial communications at The Tierney Group in Philadelphia and in the corporate finance group at Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart in New York.

John holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University. He is a past president of the National Investor Relations Institute’s Philadelphia Chapter and currently serves as president of an American Athletic Union (AAU) youth basketball club.
