Karl Holmes

Karl is Chief Financial Officer for Sky’s businesses in the UK and Ireland, and also Chief Data Officer for all of Sky’s markets.

Previously, Karl was Chief Consumer Revenue officer for Sky UK, responsible for marketing, proposition and commercial performance. Prior to this, Karl was Chief Operating Officer for Europe, where he led central operational and commercial activities for all Sky’s markets. Karl joined Sky from 21st Century Fox in 2013 after Sky purchased Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia from Fox.

During his time at 21st Century Fox, Karl led M&A and business development for Fox’s businesses across Europe and Asia, and served on the boards of media companies in India, China, Saudi Arabia and Russia. Karl’s early career was spent with Shell in London and Malaysia. He has a Masters in Physics from Oxford University, and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
