Sean McCarthy

Sean McCarthy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business development and economic policy. Currently serving as Regional Vice President of Business Development at Comcast since September 2018, Sean focuses on leveraging connectivity, media, and technology to foster growth through strategic partnerships in Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan. Prior to this role, Sean held several key positions, including Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Policy Advisor for Economic Development in the Office of the Governor of Illinois, where strategic initiatives were developed to improve the state's economic climate. Sean's earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives and as Sr. Regional Community Relations Director at Nicor Gas. Sean holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stonehill College and an MBA from Dominican University.
