Laurent Potel is the CEO and Chairman of Comet. They previously co-founded and served as CEO of Reezocar from 2014 to 2024, which was acquired by Société Générale. They co-founded Tombouktou and ModelTrust (2009–2010), were Franco-British Young Leader (2022–2024), and held earlier roles including Assistant Product Manager at GEFCO (2005) and Brand Manager at Henkel CEE (2008). They earned multiple master's degrees, including a Master in Marketing from Université catholique de Lyon (2003–2008) and a Master's in Marketing from ESDES Lyon Business School (2003–2008), as well as MSc degrees from the London School of Economics (Management, Organisations and Governance; 2008–2009) and MSc in Management (2008–2009); they are a Lauréat Choiseul100.
