Our Mission:

The Mission of Comic Kids is to teach at-risk children art using comics and cartoons as a vehicle for creativity. We believe that all children, regardless of their circumstances should have a quality art education. Comic Kids has chosen cartoons and comics as a way to learn drawing in a fun way with the characters that children love and can identify with.

Comic Kids partners with other non-profit organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters that serve at-risk children to bring them a fun curriculum & art instructors that gets the children interested in and engaged in art. 

Art classes are taught virtually in a step-by-step format over Zoom. The beginning of the class, children will discuss the characters in a friendly setting with other students and their art instructor. Class size is limited to a maximum of 20 students. Children will need internet access and a device to watch the class such as a computer, iPad/android or phone. Supplies are simple, just a pencil, paper and something to color with. Adults will be sent images of the daily drawings as well as Zoom login information prior to the class.
