Michael Dukes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of cybersecurity and information technology.

Michael began their career in the US Navy as a SONAR Technician, where they worked on submarine missions and collaborated with a highly skilled team. Michael'sexperience in this role is classified.

After leaving the Navy in 2010, Dukes became an Information Technology and Security Manager, overseeing LANs and R&D networks of varying classifications to support sensitive military operations. Michael managed a team of 35 and ensured network uptime and security integrity.

In 2016, Dukes joined the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command as an Enterprise Defensive Cyber Operations Manager. Michael held this position until 2019, where their responsibilities included managing defensive cyber operations within the organization.

From 2019 to 2021, Dukes worked for the 550 Cyber Protection Team as a Cyber Protection Team Analytics Support Officer and Training Manager.

In 2021, Dukes joined the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command again, this time as a Cyber Exercise Planner & Readiness Officer. Michael was responsible for developing cyber exercise environments, scenarios, and training events to support certifications at different levels.

Most recently, Dukes joined Command Post Technologies, Inc. in 2022 as a Network Event Designer/Cyber Planner. In this role, they are the primary liaison between DOD customers and the National Cyber Range Complex, responsible for cyber network design and adherence to security requirements.

Throughout their career, Dukes has gained expertise in various aspects of cybersecurity, including virtualized cyber range design, scenario development, digital forensics, threat emulation, and defensive and offensive cyber operations. Michael has also demonstrated proficiency in utilizing cyber training environments, such as US CYBERCOM's Persistent Cyber Training Environment, and managing teams responsible for defensive cyber operations readiness monitoring and metrics.

Michael Dukes attended Thomas Edison State University from 2007 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1998, they briefly attended Virginia Military Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineering but did not obtain a degree.
