Sunel Grimbeek is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in competition economics. They served as an Economist at the Competition Commission from 2009 to 2012 and later held positions as a Senior Economist and Principal Economist at the Competition Commission of South Africa until 2018. Currently, Sunel is the Director of Economics, Competition at the Commerce Commission. They completed their MCom in Econometrics, as well as a BCom and BCom (Hons) in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Pretoria.
