Jeff Stivers

Sr. Project Engineer at Commerce Controls

Jeff Stivers has worked in the engineering field for over 20 years. Jeff began their career in 1997 as a Designer for Medro Systems, Inc., where they developed panel layouts, wiring and instrumentation schematics, piping layouts, skid design and detailed fabrication drawings with Bill of Materials. Jeff also completed PLC & HMI Programming and testing of each system. In 2000, they joined Harutunian Engineering, Inc. as a Programming Team Lead, where they were responsible for a team of two programmers for PLC and SCADA system for expansion of existing water treatment plant. Jeff also followed construction schedule and coordinated with plant personnel for testing and commissioning without impeding existing plant operations and resulting in no downtime for process operations. In addition, they were a Project Designer, where they attended design workshops and contributed to design documentation. Jeff also worked as a Field Commissioning Agent, where they verified relay logic for complex hard-wired pumping systems, including medium voltage motor controls. Jeff also worked as a PLC/HMI/SCADA Programmer, where they programmed PLC systems with I/O counts ranging from 20 to 500 and developed PLC programs for pump stations, chemical feed systems, motor control, process control and electrical substation monitoring and control. In 2021, Jeff Stivers began working as a Sr. Project Engineer for Commerce Controls.
