Robert Reid

Robert Reid has worked in the IT industry since 1993. Robert began their career at Electronic Data Systems as an Information Specialist/Advanced Systems Engineer. During their time there, they were part of the Lansing Delta Township Assembly team to install, configure and test IT systems, and then transitioned to a Central Error Proofing support team after plant startup and warranty period. Robert also supported the Error Proofing System and a Product Routing & Tracking system during the Greenfield plant startup and warranty period of systems deployed. Additionally, they were a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for ensuring plant build quality and thoughput.

In 2008, Robert Reid joined HP Enterprise Services as a Technology Consultant - Service Information Developer III. Robert was part of the Deployment & Launch team responsible for Configuration and deployment of GE Cimplicity tracker based system and GE Proficy Historian based Powertrain Monitoring system. Robert was also part of a Global Process and Standards Team responsible for Configuration Management Database (CMDB) team for GM Plant Floor IT system components.

Robert Reid has been with Commerce Controls Inc since 2019, working as a SCADA Project Engineer.

Robert Reid received their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Robert then went on to receive their Master of Science in Engineering in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
