Mark Hallum

Mark Hallum is an experienced reporter currently working at Commercial Observer since November 2021. Previously, Hallum served as a freelance and transit reporter at amNewYork from October 2019 to November 2021, where coverage focused on transportation issues and the impact of COVID-19 on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Prior roles include news reporter positions at The Queens Courier and TimesLedger Newspapers, where significant local stories were reported. Hallum began a journalism career with contributions to various publications, including The Inquisitr News and Popular Archaeology Magazine, while also gaining experience in marketing and management at HJM Enterprises and Hertz Corporation. Hallum holds a degree in History with a minor in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University, completed in 2013.
