John Gumas

John Gumas serves as the President of Commit Agency since September 2025, where recognition as a leading authority on Challenger Brand Marketing® is prominent. An accomplished author, John has written notable works including “Challenger Brand Marketing” and “Marketing Smart.” John's extensive board involvement includes prestigious organizations such as the San Francisco Giants Community Fund, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco State University, Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame, and Elios Society. Previously, John held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Gumas from 1984 until September 2025. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, and Advertising from San Francisco State University between 1980 and 1984.
