Jim Houston has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jim began their career as an Engineer at Martin Marietta Air & Space, where they were responsible for testing and repairing radar equipment. Jim then worked as a Senior Systems Analyst at ManTech, contributing to the testing and certification of communication circuits for the Ocean Surveillance Information System program. Jim later joined Scientific Research Corporation as a Tester and Technical Writer.
In 1996, they returned to ManTech as a Program Manager, providing Test and Evaluation (T&E) support for C4ISR systems implemented for foreign military sales. Jim also designed and installed WAN systems for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the Republic of Korea. Jim continued their T&E expertise by serving as the Test Planning Lead for the SPAWAR Y2K Test Team.
In 2008, they joined Imagine One as the Vice President of Charleston Operations, overseeing operations and business development in the region. Jim significantly grew the employee count and revenue during their tenure. Jim then transitioned to CommIT and served as the Director of Charleston Operations, where they managed various programs and personnel.
From 2013 to 2017, Jim worked at MillerWilson Consulting as the Test Lead for the USMC Amphibious Assault Vehicle and the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Modernized Global Positioning System User Equipment programs. Jim also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the company, managing Test & Evaluation, Requirements engineering, Networking, and other related operations.
In 2019, Jim worked as a Senior Consultant & Partner at Cyber Offset Alliance LLC, leading the Test team for the Veterans Administration Tele Derm Project. Jim recently joined CommIT Enterprises, Inc. as the Lead Test Engineer.

Jim Houston attended Penn State University from 1987 to 1989, where they studied Electrical Engineering. Jim then transferred to The University of Akron and studied Electrical Engineering for a year from 1989 to 1990. Following this, they pursued Computer Science at the University of Maryland from 1990 to 1999.
