Darryl Settles

Darryl Settles, originally from South Carolina, has been a dynamic force in Boston's real estate development and civic advocacy since arriving in 1984. In 2014, Darryl founded Catalyst Ventures Development, which focuses on investing and developing multifamily and commercial properties, while also collaborating with diverse corporate partners such as Redgate and Tishman-Speyer. As the managing principal of Catalyst RCP, a partnership aimed at expanding opportunities for people of color in real estate, Darryl actively works to uplift the local community through various initiatives, including the BeanTown Jazz Festival and community forums. Darryl's previous ventures include ownership of renowned establishments like Slade's Bar & Grill and Darryl's Corner Bar and Kitchen, alongside board memberships with organizations focused on economic equity and community enrichment. Darryl holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
