Jay Young

Jay Young is the Senior Director of Civil Rights & Civil Liberties at Common Cause, having previously held significant roles including Senior Director of Voting and Democracy. With a legal background as an Associate at McDermott Will and Emery and Wildman Harrold Allen & Dixon, Jay has also served as the Executive Director of Common Cause Illinois and Director of Community Impact at Children's Home + Aid Society of Illinois. Jay participated in the inaugural cohort of the Erikson Institute's executive leadership program and holds degrees in Public Policy Studies, Public Policy, and Law from Duke University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Virginia School of Law.
