Maya Chupkov, MPA, is a filmmaker, stuttering advocate, and impact producer dedicated to advancing equity through media. As the founder of Proud Stutter, Maya has created a nationally recognized podcast and advocacy platform to amplify the voices of people who stutter and promote disability justice. Currently, Maya collaborates with policy leaders on initiatives to improve healthcare access for individuals who stutter in California and manages the Media & Democracy Program at Common Cause, focusing on civic media policy solutions. Maya's previous roles include serving as an Educational Advisor at JCYC and a Public Relations Specialist for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. With a BA from UC Santa Barbara and additional studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Maya's diverse experience illustrates a strong commitment to social change and representation in media.
