Jacob Thomas currently serves as the Director of Communications for Common Defense, a grassroots movement focused on promoting social, racial, environmental, and economic justice. With a diverse background in communications and design, Jacob has been a freelance designer and organizer since 2014, assisting communities in realizing their potential across various sectors. Previous roles include Customer Success Manager and Associate at When I Work, and Communications and Brand Manager at OutFront Minnesota. Jacob's military experience as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force includes roles in computer networking and project management. Jacob holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre for Social Justice and the Politics of Creating Change from the University of Minnesota, along with an Associate's Degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
