Sandro Gianella

Sandro Gianella serves as the Head of European & Middle East Policy and Partnerships at OpenAI, leading a team of policy professionals to engage with governments and partners across the region since June 2023. Additionally, Sandro collaborates as an Expert for Atomico, providing strategic counsel to innovative technology firms, and serves as a Limited Partner at Common Magic, a fund focused on supporting community-driven startups. Prior experience includes leading EMEA Public Policy at Stripe, where Sandro established the Global Public Policy function, and managing public policy at Google, addressing key digital policy issues. Sandro's educational background includes an Hon. Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Policy from Hertie School.
