Mark Altenburger, CISSP, is currently the Senior IT Support & Security Director at Commonfund, a position held since 2025. Prior to this role, Mark served as Associate Director and held various positions including Senior Systems Support Administrator and Help Desk Manager at Commonfund from 2017 to 2025. Earlier in their career, Mark worked as a Systems Support Administrator at AECOM and as a Systems Support Analyst at IBM. Mark’s foundational experience also includes serving as a Sr. Systems Support Associate at Safeco. Mark is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography at California State University, Los Angeles.
