Barney Rush

Barney Rush is the current Vice Mayor of Chevy Chase, MD, having served multiple terms on the Town Council since 2016, including two terms as Mayor. With a background in investment banking and renewable energy, Barney is a Member of the Advisory Board at Commonweal Ventures and Managing Director at Hamilton Clark Sustainable Capital, Inc. They previously held significant roles at organizations such as The World Bank and Mirant, where they focused on international business development and infrastructure projects. Barney holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude.
