Tom Dickson has extensive work experience in various roles at Commonwealth Treasury. Starting in 2005, they served as a Project Manager for Australia's hosting of the G-20 and worked with the South African Ministry of Finance to enhance their G-20 management capability. In 2007, Tom became a Team Leader in the APEC Unit, representing Australia at Senior Finance Officials' Meetings and developing capacity-building initiatives. Tom later led several organizational changes as the Manager of the Issues Management Unit, establishing the Communications Unit and improving external stakeholder engagement. In recent years, Tom held various principal advisory positions, including leading the Deregulation Taskforce, driving the work of the Business Liaison Unit during the COVID-19 pandemic, and overseeing the Corporations Branch in the Market Conduct Division, where they advised the government on corporations policy, digital policy, and deregulation.
