Most IoT connectivity providers give you access to a network. CommsCloud gives you access to multiple Core Networks — and the intelligence to switch between them before your devices go dark.
That distinction matters more than most people realise. Standard roaming SIMs depend on a single IMSI operator holding a live interconnect to every local MNO in every country. When that interconnect fails — when the integration to the local network in Zambia drops — your devices lose their data path and your fleet vanishes from the screen. No fallback. You wait.
Cloud Connect SIMs carry multiple IMSI profiles, each backed by its own Core Network. When one operator loses its interconnect, the SIM applet detects it and autonomously cycles to the next profile — which has its own Core Network path to the same local networks. The radio doesn't change. The local network doesn't change. Only the routing path changes. The device stays connected. Your fleet stays visible.
This powers 220 B2B partners running 670+ live deployments across 50+ African countries — AI dashcam networks tracking high-value mineral cargo, security systems that can't miss a frame. Our client BHL consolidated five MNO and roaming providers onto one platform. Satellite costs dropped 30%. 600 long-haul trucks now have 24/7 visibility from Zambia to Namibia — no border SIM swaps, no dead zones, one bill.
"We carry high-value cargo that's constantly at risk. With CommsCloud and floLIVE, we finally have uptime we can trust." — Emile Cloete, IT Manager, BHL Haulage
