Michael Groen

Michael Groen is a Principal Software Engineer at CommScope since 2019, specializing in the design, implementation, and testing of embedded software for the Distributed Access Architecture platform of DOCSIS CMTS RxD nodes, utilizing Agile methodologies and C/C++ under a Linux operating system. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Principal Software Engineer at ARRIS from 2018 to 2019 until its acquisition by CommScope. Michael's extensive experience also includes a tenure as a Senior Lead Engineer at Coriant, Inc. from 2008 to 2017, focusing on the development of embedded software for the Packet Optical Transport Platform. Michael began a career at Tellabs, where contributions included a VoIP solution for a Voice Gateway and a client/server system upgrade feature, progressing from Staff Engineer to Senior Member of Technical Staff. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Western Illinois University.
