Tom Manning

Tom Manning serves as the Founding Director of the Harvard ALI Lab as of January 2025, and holds the position of Chairman at Cresco Labs, a key player in the U.S. cannabis industry, since October 2016. Additional leadership roles include Executive Chairman of the Chicago Philharmonic since February 2012, Chairman of The University of Chicago Graham Council since November 2022, and Independent Board Director and Audit Committee Member at CommScope since September 2014. Manning also contributes as a Board Member for The Fred Hollows Foundation since June 2024 and has previously served as an Independent Director for Chindata Group until December 2023 and Executive Chairman and Advisor at Aegis Ventures until July 2023. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Finance from Stanford University and an A.B. in East Asian Studies from Harvard University.
