Alex Young

Alex Young has extensive work experience in the field of compliance and operational risk within the banking and financial services industry. They have held various roles throughout their career, including Head of Compliance at CommSec and Head of Compliance Assurance for IB&M and Treasury Compliance at Commonwealth Bank. They also have experience in operational risk management in global markets at ICBC Standard Bank Plc and Fitch Ratings. Prior to that, they worked at Westpac in roles such as Manager of Operational Risk & Compliance and Senior Auditor. Alex has a strong background in ensuring regulatory compliance, executing assurance reviews, and overseeing swap dealing activities.

Alex Young completed an Advanced Certificate in Operational Risk from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in 2015. They also obtained a Bachelor of Business degree from Australian Catholic University, although the specific years of attendance are unknown. Additionally, Alex Young earned a Higher School Certificate from St Aloysius' College.
