Sam Bates is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community engagement, communications, and program development. Currently serving as the Community Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator at the Community Action Partnership of Lancaster & Saunders Counties since February 2021, Sam's previous roles include Manager of Communications and Community Engagement at Legal Aid of Nebraska and District Executive at Boy Scouts of America, Cornhusker Council. Sam has a strong background in communication strategies, having worked as the Assistant Director of Communications at News Link and as Executive Editor in Chief of The Antelope Newspaper. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
