Sam Ching McGrath

Sam Ching McGrath currently serves as a Senior Foundations Officer at Community Catalyst, overseeing a portfolio of foundations and managing a team of Foundation Officers while focusing on Health & Economic Justice, Community-First Public Health, and Health System Innovation. Previously, Sam held the position of Associate Director of Foundation Relations at the American Association for Cancer Research, securing $20 million in funding through strategic relationship development. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Development Associate at New York University, where $500K was raised from individual solicitations, and as Individual Giving Manager at Food Bank For New York City, managing donor development initiatives. Earlier roles include Asset Management Assistant at W. P. Carey & Co. LLC and a Student Intern at Yale University’s Peabody Museum of Natural History. Sam holds a Master of Science degree in Non-Profit/Public Organizational Management from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Rider University.
