Ruby Bean has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2017, they worked as the Director of Development at Community Concepts Maine, where they were responsible for fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Ruby also held the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives at the same organization from 2017 to 2020, focusing on operational process improvement and financial forecasting.
In 2019, Ruby Bean became an Adjunct Professor of Business at Central Maine Community College, teaching undergraduate students in the business field and developing a non-profit concentration.
Prior to these roles, they served as the Director of Operations and Human Resources Director at Oxford County Mental Health, managing various internal organizational operations and leading HR functions. Ruby also briefly took on the role of Interim CEO in 2013.

Ruby Bean completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Entrepreneurial Thinking and Innovative Practices from Bay Path University in the years 2015 to 2016. Before that, they obtained a Master's degree (MS) in Forensic Psychology from American International College from 2005 to 2006. Ruby also holds a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Criminal Justice from Bay Path University, which they earned from 1997 to 2000.
In addition to their formal education, Ruby Bean has acquired additional certifications. Ruby obtained a certification as a Certified National Results-Oriented Management and Accountability Implementer from the Association of Nationally Certified ROMA Trainers in March 2022. Prior to that, in September 2021, they received a Certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University.
