Community Development Watch (CODEWA) is a Tanzanian-led nonprofit organization dedicated to dismantling the material, mental, and digital barriers that prevent vulnerable children and youth from reaching their potential.
Founded in Tabora, Tanzania, CODEWA operates across five integrated programme areas: Holistic Education and Access, Mentorship and Inspiration Seminars, Adolescent and Youth Empowerment, Health Dignity and Wellbeing, and Climate Action and Stewardship.

Our work reaches youth through school kits, scholarships, digital skills training, community health insurance, menstrual hygiene support, professional mentorship, and ecological restoration initiatives. Our Girls Digital Access and Skills Hub (GDASH) provides second-chance pathways for out-of-school girls and young mothers, equipping them with market-ready digital skills in AI, graphic design, and coding.

We believe that when you change a child's perspective, you change their destiny.

Partners include: Kitchen Table Charities, The Pollination Project, Nisonger Center (Ohio State University), and Google. |
