Roya Ansari

Roya Ansari is a versatile journalist and interpreter with over 15 years of experience advocating for the rights of refugees, women, and specifically Afghan women and girls. Currently, they work as an Executive Assistant at the Department of Education WA and serve on multiple boards, including the Ashiana Humanitarian Network and Community Vision Australia Limited. Roya is also actively involved with the United Workers Union and the Australian Labor Party, holding positions such as Union Delegate and Vice President of Perth Labor Women. Their educational pursuits include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Curtin University and a Certificate III in Education from TAFE WA.
