Lawrence Chang

Lawrence Chang currently serves as Senior Director of Engineering at Commvault since October 2024, having previously held the role of Senior Director of Engineering at Clumio from November 2017 to October 2024, along with positions as Director of Engineering, Backend, and Founding Engineer at the same company. Prior to Clumio, Lawrence was a Sr. Systems Software Engineer at NVIDIA from September 2010 to November 2017, contributing to the Resource Manager team that developed a low-level driver known as the "Operating System" of the GPU. Notable achievements include leading teams for Maxwell and Pascal GPUs and achieving record silicon-to-production schedules. Lawrence's earlier experience includes roles at Green Hills Software as a Systems Software Engineer and at Intel Corporation as a Software Engineer, where contributions included significant developments in RTOS and flash filesystem technologies. Lawrence holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
