Thomas Atkinson

Thomas Atkinson is an experienced security and facilities management professional, currently serving as Senior Director of Corporate Security & Facilities at Commvault since January 2025. Previously, Atkinson held the position of Director of Global Facilities and Physical Security at Avid from November 2019 to February 2025. Other notable roles include Associate Director of Public Safety - Deputy Chief of Police at Boston College, Director of Public Safety at Tufts Medical Center, and Director of Security at Polaroid Corporation. Atkinson began a career in law enforcement as a Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security - Coast Guard Investigative Service, after serving as a Police Officer in the Town of Hull Police Department. Atkinson holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Anselm College.
