Anna Bute (AJ)

Anna "AJ" Bute is an experienced educator and leader in the field of science education, currently serving as a Master Teacher Fellow at Math for America since August 2023 and a High School Science Teacher at Comp Sci High since January 2022. Previous roles include Director of Talent Acquisition, Founding Director of Operations, and Interim Operations Manager at Valence College Prep from June 2019 to December 2021, as well as Early Career Teacher Fellow at Math for America from August 2018 to August 2019. Anna has also worked as a Chemistry Teacher at the Academy for Software Engineering, a Research Fellow at Columbia University, and a Secondary Science Teacher for the NYC Department of Education. Anna began the career with Teach For America as a Secondary Science Education Corps Member and has a strong educational background with a MAT in Secondary Science from Relay Graduate School of Education and a BS in Aquatic and Fishery Science from the University of Washington.
