Declan Collins

Non-Executive Director & Co-Founder at Compact Imaging

Declan Collins has worked in various roles since 1979. Declan began their career as a Regional Director for IDA Ireland in 1979. In 1993, they became an Attaché for Education, Training and Technology at the Embassy of Ireland. Two years later, in 1995, they became the Director for Japan at Enterprise Ireland. Most recently, in 2003, they co-founded Compact Imaging, Inc. and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director. Compact Imaging, Inc. is developing a miniature optical imaging device for biometric security, medical and industrial applications.

Declan Collins received a Graduate Diploma in Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology between 1963 and 1967, with a focus in Mechanical Engineering. Declan then went on to receive an M.Sc. in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin in 1968-1969.
