Simon Yu has extensive experience in software design and engineering, currently serving as Section Manager and Software Design Manager at Compal since March 2014. In this role, Simon leads the design of VR standalone headset platforms, focusing on advancements such as 6-DoF inside-out position tracking, gesture detection, and voice command recognition. Prior to this position, Simon held various engineering roles, including Principal Engineer at Compal Inc. and Deputy Principal Engineer at Compal Communications, where responsibilities included developing Android products for smartphones and tablets.
