In 1989, Hailiang started its business in the good time of reform and opening up, with the geographic advantage of being in Zhejiang province and an excellent team. After nearly 30 years of arduous pioneering and hard work, Hailiang builds a platform for continuous development, and joins the “one hundred billion class” enterprise group. We embrace the global vision, carry the dream of our home and country, and are ready to take more social responsibility, to provide a comprehensive solution for a better future.
For the past era, China has surpassed the developed country that has one hundred-year of history by 40 years of reform and opening up. That is a rapidly changing era. Hailiang meets the requirements of the times, works hard along the way, leaving its own marks in the industry such as: copper processing, basic education, real estate, eco-agriculture, finance, environmental protection, health industry etc. These marks gradually change their impact in the long history. They are connected with the current map for which the three industries – education, health industry and high-tech development of non-ferrous materials are the dominant industries for the Group. The structure has laid a solid foundation for a hundred years of development of Hailiang Group.
Hailiang’s development is a result of a good era. Meanwhile the success is because Hailiang maintains honesty and trustworthiness, follows the rules of the market, and works for for the benefit of the whole society. In the past years, Hailiang always persists in the concept to take responsibility for clients, investors, employees, teachers, students and the whole society, to adhere to the principle of integrity, transparent governance, hard work, to defend the bottom line, to reject the temptation of interests, to hold the value that professional ability is required to get fair returns from the market, to build a risk control system and to focus on a steady development model.
Hailiang is carrying a great dream, marching into a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Hailiang is about to enter its thirties, in the face of the trend of globalization, a new round of scientific and technological revolution, and the national condition that China's economy develops from high speed to high quality. Hailiang will walk between new opportunities and new challenges and develop between steady and leaping development. In 2017, the Board of Directors of the Group decided the basic principles of "emphasizing both the efficiency of the enterprises and the social wellbeing of the community." With outstanding personnel and advanced technologies, the Group devotes itself to the most challenging issues, changes from the concern for product to the concern for society and people, carrying the industry matrix, leading the way - “education, priority development; health industry, steady development; non-ferrous material, innovative development”.
The future has come, we should never forget our original aim; the future has come, we should work together. Hailiangers will embark on the new journey with new spirit, rooted in the new advantages of future, persistent in high quality development, to create a new era of Hailiang in each important historical period.
