Barry McCarthy

Barry McCarthy is an experienced operations manager with a strong background in facilities management and contract delivery. Currently serving as the Head of Operations and Regional Manager at Compass Group since October 2020, Barry oversees PFI contracts in the South, managing total facilities management for various institutions including hospitals and schools. Prior to this role, Barry worked as a Contract Manager at Compass Group, leading a team to support an outstanding secondary school through lifecycle budget management and asset renewal projects. Barry's earlier experience includes serving as a Facilities Manager at Interserve, managing services at Bradwell Power Station, and spent 24 years at Sanofi, with 15 years dedicated to facilities management. Barry holds qualifications from the BIFM and an IOSH certificate in Managing Safety.
