Matthew Hess, CPA, is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Director of Finance at Compass One, a role they took on in 2021. Matthew began their career with Compass Group in 2015, starting in Audit Services before transitioning to Financial Planning, where they implemented Anaplan for Higher Education and contributed significantly to financial strategies. An alumnus of Appalachian State University, Matthew holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Accounting. With a passion for translating complex financial data into compelling narratives, Matthew actively manages global internal and client external reporting, while also promoting diversity in spend reporting initiatives. In their free time, Matthew enjoys boating, skiing, and spending time in the mountains with their family.
