Robert Gray

Robert (Bob) Gray serves as Managing Director at Compass Group since April 2022 and has been Business Director for Compass Group - ESS since January 2015. With board-level responsibility for the operational performance of a diverse portfolio of public sector contracts exceeding £65 million in annual turnover, Robert oversees a large team and manages complex service agreements across various regions. Prior experience includes Operations Director roles within Compass Group, involving full P&L responsibility and leading strategic operations and bids, particularly in the public sector. Robert's earlier career includes a senior leadership position in the Royal Navy with extensive expertise in logistics and legislative advisory roles. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Business Management from Cardiff University and a Chartered MCIPD certification in HR.
