Mathieu Gimenez

Mathieu Gimenez is a seasoned economist specializing in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Economist and Senior Manager in the Energy Practice at Compass Lexecon since April 2018. With extensive experience in electricity market design, infrastructure regulation, and energy policy, Mathieu has led over 100 projects for various stakeholders, including utilities and government agencies. Concurrently, Mathieu is a lecturer at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, focusing on market and regulatory challenges in energy decarbonization. Previous roles include policy officer at the CRE, where Mathieu contributed to renewable energy support schemes, and internships with TOTAL and Schlumberger, providing technical and economic insights on drilling processes. Mathieu holds a Master's degree in Science and Executive Engineering from Mines Paris - PSL and has participated in research at Caltech and Saint Petersburg State University.
