Whit Gibbs

Whit Gibbs has had a diverse range of work experiences. Whit founded Compass Mining in 2019, a company that aims to strengthen Bitcoin's network by democratizing hashrate. At Compass Mining, they are involved in various roles, including managing a marketplace for institutions and retail to procure and deploy their own mining operations, producing a podcast and research to educate bitcoin miners. Prior to founding Compass Mining, Whit Gibbs worked at Education Alliance from 2017 to 2018 as a Senior Television Producer, overseeing the production of educational content. Before that, they were a Senior Account Manager at PuppySpot from 2015 to 2017, where they focused on aligning the company's brand towards honesty and customer satisfaction. Whit Gibbs also served as the Director of Business Development at Aliant Payment Systems Inc from 2014 to 2015, where they helped businesses accept payments and manage their operations.

Whit Gibbs completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/International Affairs from Florida State University between the years 2002 and 2007.
