Rex Chan

Rex Chan has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Rex started their career as a System Programmer at HongKong Telecom CSL in 1993, where they designed, developed, tested, and maintained real-time systems for various projects. After that, they worked as a Technical Support Officer at Hang Seng Bank before joining Fidelity Investments as a Technical Support Analyst, where they managed IT projects and supported trading systems. In 1998, they joined New World Infrastructure as an Assistant MIS Manager.

In 2002, Rex joined Hamburg Süd as a Regional Information Service Manager, where they had several responsibilities such as managing IT functions, setting up and managing the Regional Data Centre for Asia operations, designing and implementing IT strategies, network security solutions, and managing budgets. Rex also managed and maintained in-house corporate production applications and led IT teams in multiple countries.

In 2006, they joined Regus Business Centre Corp as the IT&T Director APAC, where they worked until 2018. During their time there, they played a crucial role in installing and deploying IT&T infrastructures and applications for multiple sites in the Asia-Pacific region. Rex also designed, implemented, and managed a regional data center and developed in-house systems for company growth.

Most recently, Rex Chan joined Compass Offices in 2018 as the Head of the Information Technology Department, where they currently work.

Rex Chan obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Rex then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Software Technology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, completing their studies in the field from 1995 to 2000. Later, Rex Chan attended City University of Hong Kong from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce.
