Nicholas Brüss is a seasoned professional in the field of psychedelic medicine and therapy, currently serving as an MDMA Researcher and Therapist at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) since September 2016 and as the Director of Psychedelic Medicine Advocacy at TREAT California since July 2023. Brüss co-founded the Psychedelic Coalition for Health in December 2020, where roles include Lead Trainer, and holds the position of Clinical Supervisor for MDMA therapy at Lykos Therapeutics. In addition to being a Lead Therapist at Compass Pathways since October 2023, Brüss also contributes as a trainer for TheraPsil and has an extensive background as a psychotherapist and Certified Internal Family Systems practitioner at A Practice of Freedom since January 2011. Previous roles include Director of Strategic Engagement at La Maida Project and a Certified Compassion Cultivation Training Teacher at CCARE, Stanford University. Brüss earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies from 2009 to 2011.
