Peter joined Compass Group PLC in March 1996 and held a number of financial and commercial positions. In February 2001, Peter moved to the US, initially becoming divisional controller for Compass Group National Accounts, and subsequently adding responsibility for financial support to FLIK, then Eurest. In 2010, he became CFO for Contract Foodservice.
