JL Townsend is a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience in residential and commercial property transactions. As the Founder and General Manager of The Townsend Group at Compass since March 2016, JL Townsend specializes in representing buyers and sellers in San Francisco and Marin, along with offering 1031 Exchange consulting services. In addition, as a Founding Partner at Westward Advisory since May 2019, JL Townsend collaborates with a team to enhance the client experience in residential real estate. Prior experience includes roles at Compass, Pacific Union, Alain Pinel Realtors, and Colliers International. JL Townsend holds a double major in Business Management and Art History from Gettysburg College and graduated from St. Georges School in Rhode Island.
