Ruth MacFarlane

Ruth Macfarlane has over 20 years of work experience. Ruth started their career in 1997 as a Camp Secretary/Registrar at Camp IAWAH, where they worked until 2002. In 2003, they joined Compassion Canada as a Supporter Services Manager, responsible for managing the Contact Centre & Reception. Ruth held this role for 15 years until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, Ruth worked as a Data & Insights Manager at Compassion Canada. Ruth then became the Director of Technology & Operations from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Data & Project Management at Compassion Canada.

Ruth Macfarlane obtained a Master's degree in Theology/Theological Studies from Heritage College and Seminary during the years 1995-1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in History at Trent University from 1990-1993.
