Compassion Unites is a cross-sector mental health alliance that seeks to address one of the defining challenges of our time: the growing gap between the scale of the global mental health crisis and the capacity of existing systems to respond.

Founded by Ishan Shivanand, a renowned professor and mental health researcher working at the intersection of Eastern yogic traditions and mental health science, the initiative is based on a simple but often overlooked premise: mental and emotional wellbeing are shaped not only by clinical care, but by the quality of relationships, community structures, and social environments in which people live.

Compassion Unites brings together leaders from healthcare, faith traditions, education, technology, public service, and civil society to foster dialogue and collaboration across sectors that rarely engage one another in the mental health space.
